Phantom of the Opera

I really didn't know much about the movie "the phantom of the opera" but when ms eliz made us watched the play, i was astonished how beautiful they made the play. On how love can make you do anything even if its not good, i love on how they made the plot of the movie and how beautiful their voices are, how i wish we could have watch the part 2 of the phantom of the opera. But overall their play was great no wonder, why it has been in the industry for decades. Hoping to watch more phantom of the opera. i really do not know what to say anything else on this movie but i asure you ill watch more of the phantom of the opera i had a great time watching the movie.

Speech Choir

Caged Bird BY MAYA ANGELOU The free bird leaps on the back of the wind and floats downstream till the current ends and dips his wing in the orange sun rays and dares to claim the sky. As we prepare for our speech choir and practiced for some weeks, in our first week our minds were blocked we weren't producing any steps for our speech choir. But a bird that stalks down his narrow cage can seldom see through his bars of rage his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing. As days passed we decided to memorize the poem first before coming up with our choreography, we practiced step by step we were making improvements in a slow pace but we surely thought of it to make our speech choir beautiful. The caged bird sings with a fearful trill of things unknown but longed for still and his tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom. Days and nights were sacrificed for this speech choir time was sacrificed for practicing specially mine i usually go gym or work out after class but i put that aside first just for the competition The free bird thinks of another breeze and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees and the fat worms waiting on a dawn bright lawn and he names the sky his own As when the competition started the ABMA students were giving us haymaker after haymaker props to them for making the speech choir hard to judge, as we were watching the sections. Our thoughts was we wont have a place on the top 3 winner. But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing. So we just thought of having fun and delivering our speech choir because we worked hard and made sacrifices so as of the results. The caged bird sings with a fearful trill of things unknown but longed for still and his tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom. We reigned 1st runner up, we are blessed that god helped us on winning 1st runner up props to everyone for cooperating and lastly ms Nina for supporting us all through out. I am thankful for being able to experience the last term of the english term thank you! ERC.

Paddington

It starts off with a back story on how Paddington Bear arrived in London. An explorer visits Peru and tells Paddington, his aunt and uncle that whenever they choose to visit England they would feel most welcome. After his uncle dies, Paddington sets off on his own and arrives in London and discovers that the city is not at all that he imagined it to be. It's not until he is taken in by the Brown family that he feels wanted in a foreign place.

The concept is pretty much an allegory of how many foreigners are treated in their new home. Anyone who has felt the slightest bit different would be genuinely moved by Paddington's plight. The story is highly engaging and entertaining. Not once did I check the time, a sure sign that the movie moved along at a brisk pace.

Paddington is a computer generated character but he had all the warmth and heart of a human. He is integrated well with the human cast led by Bonneville and Hawkins as Mr and Mrs Brown, and Julie Walters as their housekeeper. They act with distinction along with Kidman who makes a convincing villain.

The film makes excellent use of its location shooting in London. You will be able to spot many tourist attractions. What made the film even better was the glorious use of color. Not one frame was wasted on the visual beauty that the film provides. The music score also enhances the film with its rich and melodious tunes.

Adults will gain as much fun as children from the film. There's plenty of humour and action to please a variety of moviegoers. It's an entertaining film that deserves to perform well at the box office, thus leading to a sequel which I would really look forward to seeing.

Creative Story tellling champions

"When Ms Agathon informed me that I was chosen to represent my class in the creative story telling competition, I was reluctant and hesitant to agree, but I kept in mind the various incentives I would receive for participation, not to mention the bonus marks if we won. In the beginning, I was unsure and confused as to how I would memorise the script, but as my class practices and sacrificed our time and effort, I eventually nailed my lines. As the competition commenced, I was unaware of what I should feel or think, as I was so nervous that I would forget my lines throughout the play. But as our names were called onto the stage, we succeeded and gave our all leading up to a winning performance. Winning the championship was a great experience for me, because participating was really a giant leap out of my comfort zone. I'm very proud and happy to have been able to execute all my lines throughout the performance. I am ever so grateful for every single person who had contributed to our victory. I'm thankful for all my classmates support throughout the process. It was a gallivant team effort in bringing home the crown."

Benjamin Alves Bday celeb

Last March 18, 2o16 Benjamin Alves Visited our school Asia Pacific College, he then judged the slampoetry in our school.

it was Benjamin alves birthday and he celebrated his own birthday with us he shared his love for poetry and gave us advices on what and what not to do, it was nice meeting him and knowing more about him as i realized we have an inside nerd in us in different ways.

On part of that he listened to the top 3 winners of the slam poetry and gave his own opinion about it I can say benjamin alves is one great guy and cares about the people around him, he maybe an artist in showbiz but he does not forget why he was in the showbizness… it was a great experience meeting him and how humble he is. and i thank him for coming at apc. hope to meet him he is a great person to be with thank you mr benjamin alves!

Zombadings

The story begins with the young Remington tirelessly teasing and spiting every gay person he meets. He meets his match when a very depressed gay curses him to become what the lead character spites the most - a homosexual. It wasn't after 15 years that the hex slowly turned true, at the exact time when a serial killer that targets queers is out on the loose.

It wasn't the search for the killer that is the focus, but Remington's struggle to prevent himself from becoming gay. And he was losing the fight in a hilariously convincing way. I must say, I did not expect much from Mart Escudero. I was not very impressed with his teeny-bopper style of acting a few years back. But he made me turn 360-degrees with his impressive acting in this movie, not so much as his witty approach to the role. His comedic timing was superb. He uttered gay-lingo in absolute fluency which made me wonder...

And of course, Mart has been backed up by the stellar performances of Roderick Paulate, John Regala and Eugene Domingo. o if I think the movie was great, how come there are only 4 laughies and there are 1 snoozy???

It was funny enough, until the Zombadings actually came to life. The movie quickly reverted to the slapstick comedy we are so used to. The remaining quarter of the movie was actually boring. I actually expected more from the appearance of the Zombadings -- after all, that's the title.

The Zombadings rising from the grave, their dark silhouette against the sky, quickly reverting to the Charlie's Angels poses could've been very funny. But I have seen the trailer one time too many to actually enjoy this scene. Still, the plot is surprisingly refreshing. This is the gay movie where you won't get tired of listening to gay rants and squeeks. HAHA

Virginia Moreno

Virginia Moreno is a feminist. She is recognized not only as a poet but as a Philippine woman artist whose vision of art includes both aesthetics and politics. She is a poet whose works are deeply imbricated in her country’s socio-political and cultural milieu. Moreno has, however, managed to marry form, content and create texts whose polyvalence of idioms allow readers to contend with their very own historicity. She is a poet who has an interest in French Impressionism and Symbolist poetry while the rest of her generation, having been immersed in English and American Literature
The poem, "Order for Masks", is clearly talking about the different roles that the woman, who is the persona in the poem, has to portray throughout her life. It presents the woman's three masks which represent the three tasks in her life and the three faces she has to wear for the three men in her life. The first role that is illustrated is that of a sister – the woman towards her brother. As a sister, she tries to differentiate herself from her brother that is why she does things that are completely opposite or in contrast with the things her brother does. She wants to be unlike him in every possible way so to make him feel secure in his masculinity and to make him believe that she is not a threat to him. The next role mentioned is that of a daughter – the woman towards her father. As a daughter, she wants to show her father that she is the kind of woman that he expects her to be – pure, innocent and chaste, leading him to believe that she is the perfect or ideal daughter. Also, the woman is projecting to him that she is still the same child he knew and the same face he made. The last role that she plays is that of a lover – the woman towards her lover. This time, she projects herself as someone who does her best to satisfy and fulfill the needs and

wants of her partner.

Jon "Many Face" Santos

Mr. Jon Santos held a talk in our school, he talked about life lessons he learned from his own past and shared it to us. he gave us 10 rules in life, the first rule was to listen,  listen to ones you care about you love and listen to yourself too, he then told us that learning will enrich you and help you succeed and will give you full knowledge in life. His next rule was that learning what you love will make you richer he then explained on how you should do the things you love and excel on it. It will make you happier and contended, what is the use of doing things you do not love right? He then told us that knowledge is everything. Without knowledge you are nothing and that you have to win the war before it start, he explained you need to be forward ahead the battles in the journey you have right now and that we needed to adjust, adapt and evolve in this world because if you are not going to adjust you will get left behind, if you can not adapt you will get step over and if you can not evolve then you can not learn in life always be grateful in life do not be too greedy always remember yourself and that the lord is here to guide in your journey and is beside that we are not alone and the last rule in our journey was to let go of ourselves and love ourselves because if we can not love ourselves who else can? If we are not going to let go of ourselves and try something new what will happen? Jon Santos is one of the great comedian and actors in his generation but he went through so much just to achieve his own goal we learned a lot from the life lessons he talked about

Anti Smoking

I want to strongly promote the dangers of smoking to children and teenagers. however, I not only want to inform, but I want to take action for it. Long before citizens did not have the privilege to the hazardous effects of smoking, and as a result, big parts of the population in this world took up the previously habits of smoking. Why would anyone want to do something that just leads to a stupid and horrible death of people? If you smoke, you’re killing yourself. Statistics have shown that each cigarette you take is taking about twelve to fourteen minutes of your life. That can quickly turn into years. Once you start smoking, everything just goes downhill. In my opinion, smoking is the most unattractive thing about a person. It will make you smell bad and make your clothes, and hair smell bad. To some people, it is very unattractive and unnecessary to smoke. Most places have banned smoking from inside a Mall, Condo, Apartment or Hotel. It’s actually offensive to some people. Anti-smoking committees are working to completely stop smoking. The effects of smoking are widespread and can be deadly. The issues one could get by using tobacco should turn away from the idea of smoking it. Yet, it still happens. Youth still have a high probability of trying some sort of tobacco use and when they live in an environment where secondhand smoke is constant, it makes it that much worse. Like a person who smokes inside a house would be the perfect example for showing the dangers of second and thirdhand smoke. If one person smokes, the whole family smokes. This phrase clearly states that when one persons decides to give in to the addiction known as cigarettes, the whole family in the house and the surrounding area are affected to. Smoking Cigarette should stop It dosent just harm yourself it harms everyone close to you.

If Only

“Sana Dati” its quite amusing to watch, it is not the “typical” Love story we were used to watching, Dennis a videographer meets Andrea Serendipitously to shoot the wedding of the last love of his older brother Andrew. Dennis finds out  the real reason behind on why did his Older brother left home, through Andrea.

It is really kind of a love and faith situation. Dennis shoots a video for Andrea after that, he tosses a cigarette bud out of the window and hits a person, reviling that the person was Robert, Andrea’s soon to be husband, and did the same with Robert too. Dennis asked Andrea some questions about Robert and if he really loves him Andrea answered but isn’t really looking straight at the camera, Dennis did the same thing again with Robert, but this time Robert was looking at the camera directly and you can see how sincere his answers were. Andrea then vented to Dennis on how everything changes so fast on how what was supposed to happen that day. She told Dennis on she was supposed to open a flower shop with her previous lover Andrew and how they met and how well were they doing before. Finally Andrea found out that Dennis is the younger brother of Andrew and questions him on why is here and what does Dennis want, Dennis answered that she wanted to meet Andrea and if his older brother Andrew, was happy right before his tragic Death. Both Dennis and Andrea went up to roof deck and tells story’s about Andrew,  and Andrew while Dennis admitted that he would like to have a woman who is like Andrea. At the End Robert and Andrea gets married, and gave us all thoughts on how the marriage will work. Can Andrea learn to love Robert? It’s a romantic movie we did not all expect.
